If you are in any vocation or profession where your own actions determines the money you take home; be it selling clothing, manufacturing shoes, owns a restaurant, a lawyer representing clients, a sales & marketing guy or girl who’s income is based on commission, or even a dentist filling cavities and you are happy with where you are and with what you earn, then this article is a waste of your time. Just close the page and do something useful. However, if you have a passion to make difference, excel in what you do and have sustainable growth then the following is a read that you should not miss. The world as we know is changing at an unprecedented pace with new developments in commerce, technology, social integration, and politics, which affects our existence in numerous ways. With these shifts of change humanity will be faced with new challenges to overcome. To do so a new set of skills will be in demand and in these dynamics of evolution, new industries will emerge and of course some of the old industries will fade away. You have sent your perfect CV in response to a recent advertisement for a job opening and you are pleasantly surprised to get a call from your prospective employer’s office, asking you to come for an interview. You spent quite a bit of time perfecting your CV which would no doubt have got the attention of your prospective employer. Now its time to get ready for the interview to make a difference, face the interview with confidence to make sure you get the job you so richly deserve. What is success? How do you define success? Is your company successful? Or, As an individual do you consider yourself successful. We encounter a whole lot of videos, pictures, articles and write-ups defining success by different individuals in newspapers, social media and in different group chats. Is success defined or measured by the turnover of a company; net profits or the net asset value of the company. In a personal context how do you identify a person as successful, is it how much they earn, the vehicle they drive, the house they live in, how many holidays they have gone for a year or how much money they have in the bank. Hmmm… it makes me wonder. |
